Wow, that Jim guy needs to be deleted and blocked. The negativity is oozing out of him! Thanks for all your hard work in creating meal suggestions ladies!

I agree. While I think differing opinions are good and healthy, this seems to be going too far. I think most of the readers here would appreciate not having to see such rude comments. I very much dislike feelings and motives being applied to me by anyone but myself.

Jim – I’m fairly certain that you were the one that left disparaging comments on our Paleo menu plan, which makes it very hard for me to understand why you hang around here. Everyone is more than entitled to an opinion of course, but there are ways to have an actual conversation without immediately putting people down. While your message may be legit for your lifestyle and others may benefit from hearing it, nobody is going to listen because of the way you come across.
And for the love of all that is holy, stop jumping to conclusions and making assumptions about people you have never met. Find somewhere else to preach if you can’t play nice.

Well said, Melody!!

Gee Jim, thanks for stopping by! You’re just a ray of sunshine, aren’t you?
Brittany, I love the zucchini noodles and the avacado pesto! I’m in!

Looks yummy! And Jim, I personally feel much better and am healthier eating meat (on advice of a doctor). I used to be a vegetarian and became very ill because of it. I’m now gluten-free/mostly grain-free/processed foods free and eat lots of fresh veggies, fruits, raw dairy, pastured eggs and grass-fed meats and other whole foods. Everyone is different and if a menu or recipe doesn’t work for you, then for goodness sakes, don’t eat it or modify it to work for you. I appreciate the menu ideas here even if I can’t follow them exactly. Thanks Emily, for taking the time to share your menu plan.

Oh, good. I’m glad you’re sacrificing the planet in order to have meat for every meal- I’m sure you feeling “better” is justifying the destruction of our natural resources. Yay! Go you! LOL.
Jim says
And I’m sure you were a junk food vegetarian. Let’s make a distinction with eating healthy and being vegetarian. You feel better now because you are eating less processed foods, not because you are eating meat, duh.

While I don’t agree with Jim’s method, I do agree with the message. That is quite a bit of meat for one week, and that’s not even including breakfast and lunch. But, to each his own. Hopefully with the shear amount of meat in the plan it’s at least organic…

Jim, I was not a “junk food vegetarian”. I ate nothing but whole, unprocessed foods – no junk food at all. Turns out my body can not tolerate grains and some vegetables. For instance when I eat whole wheat, my mouth breaks out in sores, and my throat starts swelling shut and I have trouble breathing. And other grains at least give me a headache, make me ache all over and cause unpleasant gastro-intestinal symptoms. When my weight dropped to around 100 lbs. and I had a hard time keeping any food down, that’s when my totally awesome doctor discovered my food allergies. You, Jim should not judge other people’s diets without knowing the facts. I would hope that you don’t expect me to “save the planet” by eating foods that could potentially send me into anaphylactic shock.
And once again, thanks to Emily for the menu. I made the Parmesan Roasted Zucchini last night and it was great!

Ugh. That’s a lot of meat. I guess it goes hand in hand with the SAD (Standard American Diet) way of eating. It’s amazing to me how people can’t just cut meat out of one meal, so much healthier, but we are brainwashed to think we need it with every meal. I pray for your arteries!
Joyell says
On numerous occasions I’ve seen Emily post vegetarian menus. And even the “normal” weeks often have meat-free days.

Go troll somewhere else. If you don’t like it then go away! This is not the forum to talk about “destroying the planet”. I’m trying to get an idea of what to eat. Pathetic.

Jim,
While I respect the right you have to your opinion I do not believe that a condescending comment written on a deal blog will add to your crusade. No one was ever won over to a new diet based off a snarky comment. Step down from the soap box, eat your veggies and let’s hope someone gets excited about broccoli from watching you do so. 🙂
Jim says
Not crusading, just pointing out there are other ways to live and eat. Not my fault you are primitive in thought and can’t see past my “snarky” comment to the truth that lies underneath. You are all on the defense, my guess is because you feel bad about your lifestyle. Not my problem, but those who inherit the Earth, next. Good luck!
