If you’re planning a camping trip this summer and are looking for a tried and tested family-friendly spot, these are all great options! Tons of activities for kids, not so rustic that everyone comes home filthy and covered in bug bites, but enough to feel like you are enjoying nature.
Some of these may be just around the corner from you and would make for a fun “staycation”. Sometimes it can be a great change of pace to get away from home without spending a fortune or traveling too far!

Klink’s Resort on Williams Lake
Klink’s Resort is just outside of Cheney, WA and is a super fun, family-friendly spot to camp or park your RV! They also have homes and cabins to rent. The lake is great fun, with a slide on a dock farther out into the lake. Spend the morning fishing or kayaking, the kids can ride bikes, build sand castles or play on the playground and in the evening, check out their fun Music on the Patio events. Offut Lake Resort
If you like a peaceful lake environment, you are going to love Offut Lake Resort in Tenino, WA! Here you will find a delicious restaurant, swimming and fishing opportunities as well as boat rentals. The lake has a 5mph speed limit so you don’t have to worry about having the kids out in a kayak, motorboat or pedal boat.
