Twice a year (January and July) Target marks a large section of their toys down to 70% off. There is no official date or advertisement or anything. It all occurs word of mouth based on previous years’ experiences. Kinda like the secret, no boys allowed clubs in grade school.
We found a few deals and hopefully (fingers crossed) the complete markdown of all toys on clearance will occur next week. Krista found a few items marked down to 70% dispersed throughout the toy section with most items down to 50%.

Just a point of clarification: When you write the items are “down to 70%,” do you mean they’re 70 percent of their original prices — and therefore 30 percent off — or do you really mean they’re “down to 70% off” or “down by 70%”?
