Safeway: Lily’s shopping trip $22
Lily had a great shopping trip with the $10/$50 coupon that comes out the first week of every month in the Food Day section of the Oregonian. Most of these are in this week’s Safeway post. The Rana pasta has a coupon from the 3/9 RP insert that Lily used. Nice find!
Thanks, Lily!
Safeway doubles most manufacturer’s coupons to to $.50 each in Oregon and SW Washington.

Frustrated in Salem says
That looks like a great trip! Unfortunately, here in Salem, we have an extreme shelf-clearer working overtime! Is it the thrill of the deal? Is it need? Every last Old Spice product, every last McCormick spice product, every last jug of Hawaiian Punch. It feels more like inconsiderate greed than any sort of conceivable need. It is frustrating and disheartening to think we walk amongst those types in our great NW couponing community.

I feel your pain. I too have been disappointed by the cleared Safeway shelves in Salem. Every 6 months or so there is a Salem garage sale post in which the contents of the sale are all the coupon deals scored over time. The pictures are staggering but I’ve never gone to check it out. Every time I see that garage sale post I wonder if shelves get cleared. Hopefully the contents are sold at the deal price or items are donated to those in need.
