Looking for some fun baking recipes for you and your troops this New Years Eve? Check out Safeway’s Pinterest boards for some sweet inspiration. I found a fun Sugar Cookie Pop recipe and Nate and I went to work making the dough.
The rest of the kids helped with the decorating.

This year, one of our favorite New Year’s things we did at our party at our home was to have everyone write their name down on a funny chalkboard nametag where they scrambled the letters of their names. Not everyone knew each other; we had some guests from out of town, so this was a lot of fun. π

We like to have family night with the kids, this year we played dominoes until the ball dropped on t.v. and all the chaos was done outside and all went home. Happy new year to all.

Ever since I was a little girl it’s our tradition to run outside the minute the ball drops at midnight and bang pots & pans and yell “Happy New Year”, as loud as you can! π

We stay at home on New Years to play games and go to bed on time (no staying up late with a baby who thinks sleep is over rated!). Homemade pizza is always on the menu π

We stay home and TRY to stay awake! That is hard after only ONE glass of champagne – we are such light weights!

We toast the New Year after watching the ball drop. Sometimes we watch the ball drop at 9pm and go to bed early (west coast). Not real exciting π
