Howard, I’m a senior, and also remember the low prices on soup you mentioned. I just don’t buy that kind anymore, since there’s so much more to the soup with the Chunky and other ones you mentioned. And on sale with coupons they seem like such a better bargain.

If I buy four Slimfasts at $5.00 each at Safeway
total $20.00
Will the one time only Safeway e-coupon of “$5.00 off of two” come off once or twice? If it only comes off once, could I buy four, use two “BOGO free from the 1/6/14 Redplum” then $5.00 off of two e-coupon (since I am actually paying for two) for a final price of $5.00 for four Slimfasts?? Thanks

Are you talking about the powder or the ready made liquid stuff?
I like the powder and I find the best place for that is Bi-Mart.
jim says
Its the four pack of Slim Fast 10 oz. liquid shakes.
I was hoping to score four 4 packs for $5.00 but
unsure if my scenario would work. Hoping for someone
who can help!!

I downloaded the $5/2 on J4U and it is definitely a mfr cpn. So I would not try to combine it with the BOGO cpn at Safeway. Several stores are selling Slim-Fast for about $5 this week. I bought some at Walgreens Tuesday and used the BOGO; it was $4.24 per two pkgs after my Senior Day discount. I would say with a fair degree of certainty that the digital $5/2 cpn can be used only on the first 2 pkgs, just like any other paper mfr cpn. Sometimes the “one-time use” J4U cpns can be used on multiple purchases, but I think that works on store cpn deals only, and not always.

Thanks for your help. I was hoping that if I bought 4, got 2 free-then the $5.00/2 would apply to the two that I actually paid for. Well I got a good deal on Boost earlier this week at Walgreens so will drink that instead.

Campbell’s homestyle soup-1.25-limit 6 with ad coupon-or can load to card. There are campbell’s coupons in this coming Sunday’s inserts-also one for the Chicken Noodle or Tomato soup listed above.
Another one for pillsbury cake/brownies-.99-limit 4. I picked up coupons in the store last month (need to check still to make sure they haven’t expired).
Howard says
Yeah, I noticed the upcoming soup cpns, too. Those condensed soups, which I like once in a while, sure have gotten expensive. Used to get them on sale with cpns for $.35 or less. FM used to sell their brand of chik noodle condensed 3 for $1 (on sale), but haven’t seen them yet this season. Some stores charge about $1 a can these days. I can get Chunky, Healthy Request, Homestyle or Progresso soups for $1 or less, and that’s a REAL can of soup. Just a few short years ago, Winco sold their brand of condensed chik noodle for $.25 and Campbell’s for $.29. Really!
charolyn says
Yes the soup deals aren’t what they used to be, so I am now considering .75 pretty good! I too used to get large amounts way cheaper.
The Pillsbury coupon didn’t work-was for “baking mixes” which I thought the brownies might be, but it beeped & the picture was of fancier items like cake pops-which safeway doesn’t even carry! It would be good on frosting-so maybe will be useful in the future for that.
Lisa says
My Starbucks coupon is $2/2, not $2/1 Maybe there are different ones, depending on your area? Still, not a bad deal for Starbucks.
Brittany from Frugal Living NW says
It might be a regional coupon. Has anyone else found it?

Yay!!! Another awesome week!!!!
