to my fellow shoppers: I am looking forward to the match ups for the month of April. …. I suck at shopping at stores where there are no “rewards”.
I’m also not good with change.
My “secret” store had exactly ONE Dove shampoo left this morning, which did me no good at all. I didn’t leave the house on Sunday–HAD to watch 12 hours of March Madness. I snoozed, I losed. But I think the way to go on the Dove is to get a raincheck for as many bottles as you have coupons up to max of 8. (Limit is 4 UPs) The raincheck would be $3 per 2 bottles (after deducting UP value), so free after $3/2 cpn value. And none of those nasty UPs to try to use in the next 14 days!
My stores restock today-so maybe you will have more by tomorrow. I have gotten several of the mouse & hairspray & more store did have shampoo also-surprisingly.

Surprisingly, the Tigard store had some of the shampoos and conditioners today, so I picked up 4 (there’s a limit of two like cpns for Unilever products). Will try to get a couple more before the week is out (I had 3 total cpns to use). My 2nd cpn would not scan, but she forced it through. (I’d gone in there strictly to ask for a raincheck)
I’ve done this twice now with conditioner, and both times the coupon would not work and it had to be forced through. Not sure if it’s the conditioner particularly that causes the beep, but it’s the only thing I’ll use… 🙂
Only one of my 2 Dove cpns scanned (I bought 4 bottles, 3 were conditioner) and she had to force the 2nd.
The “mouse”? No wonder they were still in stock. 🙂

Also there is a $10 one on bronzer products. This one is a little confusing, as the rebate states one per household-then it says maximum $10 per qualifying product-then it says you must submit the same number of rebate labels (note plural) as the number of bronzer products.
So it sounds like you can have one per product (there are 9 different qualifying ones)? What do you think?

I got this urge to use (2) $3/2 Dove coupons in today’s paper on 4 bottles of Dove Mousse. Then I got (2) $3+Ups back. I’ll roll those tommorow, use 2 more $3/2 coupons and get 4 more bottles free. Now I see why my daughter is spoiled.
Good for you. Just try to avoid the “Moose” scent of that product. She probably won’t like it.
You pretty much have to roll the coupons and the UPs on the Dove, because there’s a limit of 2 identical cpns per visit/day.

Note on the free Sure/Brut deodorants: cpns not valid on Brut 2.25 Revolution, or Sure 1.3, 1.6, 1.7 oz pkgs.
The 3.99 varieties are a small money maker with the 20% discount- Brut that is.
Not exactly. The $3.99 deodorants would be $3.19 with the 20% off, so $3 is cheaper. I went today and found some Bruts for $3.49 ($2.79 after 20% off) and Sures for $3.29 ($2.63 after 20% off). I left the Bruts and took two Sures. Paid $3.26 after cpns, got $4 in UPs. 🙂
Howard, which size is actually on sale for $3? The one Rite Aid advertises that the $1 m/c goes with?
The Sure deodorants on sale are 2.6 or 2.7oz, so it matches up with the coupon. The Brut deal works as well, my store doesn’t even carry the Revolution variety. Both were small moneymakers for me with my Gold discount.

Might want to double check your Load2Card coupons for a $1/1 Colgate coupon (NLA) if you’re interested in some cheap toothpaste.
I would hold on to the new .50/1 any Colgate coupon in this week’s insert if you shop at Safeway. They will be on sale for .99 starting next week which will make them free with a doubl’r.
If this is truly the last week for +UPs, y’all might want to be careful and not accumulate too many, lest ye be stuck with a bunch of them that may have to be used on overpriced items the next 2 weeks.
The Colgate Total/Max toothpaste is free this week at Walgreen’s with the $.50 cpn and $2.50 reward–but if you try to roll that reward onto a second tube, you won’t get another reward certificate. It’s a MM if you have a $1 cpn. The free toothpaste at Safeway will be the cheaper varieties, no doubt–cavity protection & baking soda. I’m going to try to shop RA in stages this week and try to get the free deodorants/Dove shampoos on different days and roll the UPs.
If I ever get stuck with UP rewards that I don’t know what to spend on, I buy milk. It’s a little over $2 with 20% discount. I know not everyone goes through gallons of milk, with 2 kids I find rite aid with discount cheapest place to consistently buy my milk. 🙂
If I have UP rewards to use up I go for the trash bags, sandwich bags and snack bags in the $1 aisle. All 80 cents a box after 20% discount.
Yup, I often use the 80-cent stuff as fillers if I need to spend a little extra to use an UP. Not every RA has the $ aisle. I like the vanilla wafers and fake Fig Newtons.
Since I do a lot of shopping for my grandparents, I’m not worried about my UpR’s. Just one bottle of her fancy nose spray or his dry mouth toothpaste will use up any UpR’s I have!
Thanks for the reminder of the MM at Walgreens also. I already have my $1/1 IP’s set aside for those, I just figured I’m might as well pick up one at Rite Aid as well with the Load2Card coupon.
I with you Howard-without the deals, there is very little I would buy at Rite Aid, so I am going to be careful to not have toomany +ups left-yes milk-as long as I have my 20%, but that is only about 1 per week for us.
Thanks Brenda for the Safeway Colgate heads up-that is actually my preferred toothpaste-one of the only places that carries the non tarter control type (which I think is the silica ingredient), — I have to avoid that because after awhile my teeth start hurting.
