Suave body wash cat works for the men’s also (at least the one that is part of the $3/2 this week)–
—remember to get rainchecks if your store is out!
Brenda says
oooohhh, might have to make another trip to check those out!
charolyn says
New Topic π
today I got a $2 cat for 2 scott TP’s! Nice extra surprise & an excellentn price with the sale price, plenti points & coupons.
Brenda says
I tried to post this comment about 47 times yesterday and it wouldn’t work. Word Press makes me nuts!
Just a heads up about a great razor deal. There’s a new Gillette/Venus monthly deal. Buy 2, get 1000 points. Limit 2.
I found Venus Swirl and Gillette Fusion razors with a shelf price of $9.99 ($7.99 with gold discount), use the $3/1 coupon in the 7/5 P&G and pay $9.98 (if you have a gold discount) and get 1000 points. FREE Razors!!!
Brenda says
Forgot another deal. The Gold Infusion shampoo is included in the Suave Shampoo deal so it works out .50 each after coupons and points. If you use Saving Star there is a $3/2 rebate that would turn this deal into a moneymaker!
Howard says
Hey, where’s the SavingStar deal? I don’t see it anywhere on that site, even if I sign in.
Brenda says
Hmmm…I just looked again and they are listed on my account. I wonder if they are limiting how many people can use them? Maybe they pull it when a set amount of people load it to their account. It has been available for quite awhile and expire on 7/19. That stinks, sorry!
Howard says
Bummed out. I tried the razor deal per your suggestion, and it was a disaster. First the coupons would not scan, maybe because they are marked “trial”. I convinced the cashier that they were not disposables, so she forced them through. Then I used 862 Plenti points to defray most of the cost, and saw on the receipt that I’d received ZERO new points. (Either the deal does not exist, or didn’t work because they were trial razors.) I left without doing anything, but I suspect that if I return them, all they will give me back is $1.36 and I will lose the points. I’ll have to call Plenti first and see what the policy is, then go back to RA and see what they can do, which is probably nothing. I already know that RA does not refund or return mfr cpns. π
Brenda says
Yikes that does sound like a mess!
I’m confused about the trial razors, which razors exactly did you get? I got the Gillette Fusion Proglide and the Gillette Venus Swirl (2 each) use 4 $3/1 coupon (2 men and 2 women coupons) and none of them beeped and I got 2000 points.
I haven’t done a return with plenti points so I’m not sure how it would work out but I would definitely call the plenti program and not riteaid because they were much more helpful to me.
charolyn says
I did a return last week & the points are reapplied to your card -so what you actually paid in cash is separate (confused me at first, I thought I didn’t get all the money back)-yes coupons are a problem as they can’t be returned.
Regarding the razors-I saw posted elsewhere that some packages have in small print “trial”-even though they don’t look like a trial. I haven’t looked at the packages myself. I did look for razors tonight (so far my stores are out) & saw what looked like a different sign that said buy a razor and refill for the 10000 points (pretty sure I saw a different sign a few days ago-no mention of the refill).
Also I did see in another store some men’s suave body wash that is the sale price. Has anyone tried this & do you get the catalina?
charolyn says
Opps, I see I had too many zeros on my 10000!!
Howard says
OK, here’s the deal. I called Plenti this morning. The agent was really nice, but he was not super knowledgeable and had to look everything up. First I asked about restoration of Plenti pts on a return item. It took several minutes to get him to understand my question, but finally told me the points will come back to me if I return the razors. Then I made the mistake of asking how to get the 1000 missing pts. He started to open a dispute, but I didn’t have the receipt with me, which he said was OK, but after several more minutes wasted, I told him I’d call RA and discuss with them. I called RA later this morning, and after some time on old, asked about the razors and whether there’d been other inquiries. (I first looked at iheartriteaid site and saw that others had had issues too.) She said a disclaimer was posted in the stores, and that 7-14 was the last day to get the pts. She also ascertained that the Plenti pts will come back to me after I make the return. I bought mine 7-15, so I’m out of luck. I didn’t ask about the exact terms of the disclaimer because I knew I was a day too late. No hard feelings; it was worth a try.
Howard says
hold, not old
charolyn says
Well you did answer a question for me-if there was any chance that 2 razors would still give the points, so thanks for reporting π Today I was in 2 stores & one had the new sign (razor + refill) & one still had the original ones!
Brenda says
Well that’s rotten that they took away the deal, but at least you’ll get your points back. I totally understand how frustrating customer service phone calls are, having spent the past few months dealing with them.
Howard says
Thought I saw the Colgate toothpaste deal here over the weekend, but now I don’t. Thru Sat, buy Total Advanced 4 oz, Optic White 3.5 oz, Max 6 oz or 2-in-1 4.6 oz for $3.50, use $1/1 coupon from coupons dot com or $.50/1 in Sunday’s paper, get 300 Plenti pts. Limit 2.
Could be a bigger MM if you have the 20% Wellness discount and pick a tube that’s regularly $4.29 or less.
Howard says
I went to buy the Crest rinses this morning. They had only one left of the 1-liter Tartar Protection flavor, and it rang up at $3.49 instead of $5. The Multi-Protection 1-liter was $5. Paid $6.99 after $1.50/2 P&G cpn (actually only 99 cents–used 600 points) and earned 900 new pts. Back tomorrow to buy the Colgate toothpaste and use/earn more pts.
charolyn says
I saw that tip on Iheart… & got 2 of the tartar protection ones today also! They weren’t marked clearance, but rang up 50% & still gave plenti points.
(I have noticed since plenti started that clearance items have rarely given points, but this worked great!).
Get some free suave body wash tomorrow too-$3/2-.50 coupons, or I had some .75 cat coupons labeled “unilever washes” that were attached to the advertising for this catalina.
(thank-you too ladies for the tip).
Howard says
I did the Suave BW deal today and got the $2 cat. Yay!
Also bought 2 Colgate Total toothpastes @ $3.19 each (20% discount), used $1 cpns on each, got 600 pts, so $1.38 MM + the net free Suave.
Melody says
Eeesh! Sorry, friends. I posted early this week as we were going out of town (with no service anywhere) and didn’t notice until I got back today!
Brenda says
WooHoo I’m back! (sorta, hopefully)
After yet another series of phone calls on Friday I finally got my Plenti card signed up correctly (They had to give me a new wellness number and transfer my points and gold status but whatever). I went in on Saturday to do the Dove deal and my receipt showed that I earned 400 points but when I tried to use them today, it wouldn’t let me and said my account was restricted. GRRR…apparently I can earn Plenti points but can’t spend them yet so it looks like I’ll be making more phone calls tomorrow! My favorite cashier who was ringing up my transaction and knows what a struggle I’ve had with the new program took off $4 to make up for the points I should have been able to use which was sweet of her.
PJ says
Welcome back! I was missing your comments. Thanks for the heads up on the cat printing in the Suave body wash, and yep, they were free! The Starbucks at my rite aid were $7 each, so I added an Altoids to get the points.
charolyn says
Well you are making progress at least! Last week I helped my friend get her card straightened out-similar situation, but it is working now!
Howard says
I hope it works out for you. Welcome back to the page where, like Cheers bar, everybody knows your name.
charolyn says
So true & also a friendly place π
Lucy S. says
RE: using Plenti points – after you enroll in the store, you still need to then go online to ‘activate’ your account. On the back of your plastic card is an ‘activation code’ – enter this online at plenti.com/sign-up This is a requirement for enrolling.
….and then you will have completed your enrollment process. After than, you will be able to spend your plenti points.
Brenda says
Yeah, that would be the way to enroll…in theory.
I’ll spare you the details but my account was messed up at the store level so I had to work with corporate to get it fixed.
Christy says
There is a $2 oyno catalina printing for the Suave body wash. They are $1.50 this week and there are 50 cent coupons which make them free. And my store had a bunch of “50% Bonus” bottles, so even better.
Christy says
Oh, I meant $2 catalina when you buy 2 bottles of the body wash.
charolyn says
Nice-thanks! There are a ton of catalina’s it seems now-also on the dove body wash, I am going to try both of them tomorrow.
Makes up for last week being so slow!
JHollyhock (aka Jennifer H.) says
Do you know when the Cat ends?
Brenda says
It goes until 7/25 so get a raincheck if your store is out!
JHollyhock (aka Jennifer H.) says
Thank you Brenda!
Howard says
Thanks for the tip. My already-suave body appreciates it. The $.50 cpn I found on body wash was in 6-21 RP and expires Sunday 7-19. I believe there is a similar cpn at the redplum site that might have a later expiration.
DeAnn says
I read on another site that some people were not getting the suave catalina, so when I went today I wasn’t surprised to not have it print for me. I called Catalina today and they are sending the $2 coupon to me.
charolyn says
Worked for me today (& I see my comment above is redundant! That’s what I get for not scrolling down before I comment).
Brenda says
DeAnn,
What kind did you buy? Just curious because both my sister and I have done the deal at 2 different stores and bought several flavors (even the bonus size ones) with no issue with the catalina printing. I’m assuming that it’s not working on the men’s body wash since those are still on shelf while the rest are pretty bare.
charolyn says
I got the ocean breeze & sweet pea/violet types-both were bonus sizes. I looked for a men’s type-but didn’t see one that was part of the rite aid sale price.
Brenda says
I noticed yesterday that they also have Suave Professionals Body Wash that are on sale for 2/$3 but am assuming they are not part of the catalina since there is still a full shelf of those as well.
charolyn says
Brenda-that does sound like the men’s one I saw first-more expensive. Today I did see men’s $3/2 at another store. but I am wondering if they will give the catalina also?
Jan says
August or July?
Howard says
Not seeing any Crest rinse cpns in 6-21 RP or in the database.
There’s a $1.50/2 rinse/floss/toothpaste cpn in 7-5 PG (also at coupons dot com), which will yield $.50 overage WYB 2.
charolyn says
Some are even more of a money maker with the 20% discount-
also some colgate toothpaste-the usual ones!
PJ says
Geez, this summer is going fast! August already? LOL!
