there were coupons on these items in a recent insert that have expired already!! So hopefully more will be coming. There are printable ones & checkout 51 has been having some of these items often.
Warning-don’t be clueless like me & plan out a great Physicians Formula deal on eye products-only to realize they are not part of the PF +up deal this week (was hoping to double dip with the monthly eye +up 🙁 There were several types with $3 coupons on them & some mascara that had 2 per package (labeled free product on the front of the package), so wasn’t a total loss.
Also the catalina rite aid coupons that are $3/$30, or $4/40… now work with coupons! I just made sure my +ups didn’t take me below the required amount & they are working great 🙂
Why did my 5 ct. Mucinex ring up with the Gold Discount? It was on sale for $7.50 but rang up at $7.19.
I thought things that are on sale do not receive discount?
Also, the 5 ct. counts towards the buy $30 of Mucinex and get $10 RR
You’re 20 percent was probably the deeper discount. I believe it is not a matter of sale items not being eligible for the discount but the sale usually is more than the 20 percent.
Right, mine also came up at $7.19. Reg price is $8.99, so 20% off made it $7.19, or a $3.31 moneymaker with VV, $2 cpn and UP.

Also nice to know it is a better sale with the 20% discount — PJ is right-if 20% off is a better sale than the sale price-you will get that price (also true for the 10% discount). This is something to keep in mind for +ups that require you to spend XX amount-as your 20% may put you below it — often though it ends up being a better deal 🙂
On the Scott-if you buy a TP And paper towels-you will get a cat-think it is $2. I have several cat coupons for scott TP also.
Also coming soon I think is another cat for Soft scrub-I am not by my info now, but will double check & report back. someone else may have gotten an advertising cat also & can report.
On the Maybelline Great Lash deal, keep in mind that your discount will kick in, so you’ll need to buy something else to reach $10.
Bought the Great Lash and had to add an eyeshadow since the mascara with the gold discount added to 8.78. With the eyeshadow (3.99/3.19 w/discount), the total came to 11.97. Total came to an overage of .03. Although not as much of an overage, there was more product free.
I purchased a $5.49 mascara and a $7.99 mascara. With gold the total was $10.78. Use the $6 in coupons and you have a $1.22 money maker.

Worked well for me today. Mascaras were $5.49 and $7.49, so they came to $10.38 after discount, $4.38 after cpns, $.38 after use of $4 in UPs. $1.63 moneymaker, thanks!
I decided to go “goth” and keep the mascara for myself.
There’s a $2 cpn on any Mucinex in today’s RP, so the overage should be $3. There’s a limit of one $5.50 UP reward.
A different scenario for the Dove promo is:
Buy 2 Dove Advanced Care Deodorant = $7
Use 2 $1/50/1 coupons (7/27 RP)
Use 1 $1/1 VV =
$3, receive $2 UpR = .50 each!

The coupons in the 7/27 RP says there is a limit of two identical coupons, fortunately, there are multiple coupons out there between the cats that were printed at rite aid for 1.50/1, coupons.com 1/1 and the Red Plum insert 1/1.
Here’s the Suave deal I’m hoping to do. I will post later how things actually went down.

Use 2 $1.50/1 catalina coupons and 1 $1/1 coupon = $3.37 and receive a $2 UpR. Makes them .46 each!
You can score an even better deal if you scan your receipt through Checkout 51, but I’m boycotting them until they send me my $20 check that I requested in April (they’re sending me another check, but I’m not holding my breath!)
In anticipation of your response, I looked this morning at RA. The Suave Pro is $3.99 list. And I have a feeling that the Dove Advanced deodorant is not part of the 2 for $7 deal. It was on sale last week or week before for $5.
Most of the Suave Pro were $3.99, but the variety I listed above was priced at $2.99 at my store.

You’re correct on all accounts. The deodorant deal fizzled out so I made the best of it with Suave and Maybelline.
Ended up getting 2 Suave Professionals (Shelf price $2.99) and I Suave kid’s shampoo since it was cheaper, paid .63 for all 3 after coupons and UpR. (My math is totally off in the comment above…apparently need to work on my math skills)
Stuck an extra eyeshadow in with Melody’s Maybelline deal above and turned it into a money maker $1.03 after coupons and UpR.
I was planning on skipping the eye extravaganza monthly deal but since I accidently acquired $17 of the necessary $30 to earn a $10 UpR I guess I have to finish it now. Thanks for the (sort of painful) heads up on the Physicians formula trouble, Charolyn.
Yes & I should know better to read the fine print too-I just got excited 🙂 But I am finding the maybelline deal to be great- with the 20% discount I got a $4.79 & a $7.39 mascara- = just over $10 (money maker with the VV & nearly free without it), so in my mind, when averaged together = great prices 🙂

It’s a miracle! I was able to print the La Bella hair product cpn even though it’s from SmartSource. Could be because earlier today I got a pop-up that allowed me to install latest Java and verify I have no outdated ones. (But usually I install the newest version and still can’t print.)
