Safeway: How to tell the difference between manufacturer’s and Safeway Just4U coupons
Safeway's Just4U coupons can be confusing. In reality, however, the same rules that apply to paper coupons, apply to the Just4U digital coupons. You cannot stack manufacturer's coupons (use more than one coupon on the item(s) intended) You can stack a store coupon with a manufacturer's coupon This can get tricky because it is hard to know which of these coupons is a store coupon. If you pay close attention to the wording in red on the Just4U site, you can figure out what type of coupon you are dealing with. The above rug doctor coupon is a store coupon. You know this because the coupon says "$5 OFF". The key word here is "OFF". Usually Keep Reading

I'm loving this Fall weather. I think I can finally start using my oven! I've made small headway on my monthly meal planning. I have 3 weeks so far. What’s for dinner? This week’s menu plan (9/17)
Time to get back on the meal planning band wagon. I'm toying with the idea of doing month long meal planning and select freezer cooking days. Especially for breakfast foods as our mornings are quick now before school. But first, I'm just going to start planning my dinners and this week is a no-oven week as it's still summer here in the PNW. Here's what's for dinner at my house this week: Monday -- Orange Chicken with broccoli & rice (If you're short on time, buy some already made chicken strips. Cut them up and throw in a pan with a little oil until heated. Then add the sauce.) Tuesday -- Homemade Egg McMuffins with Bacon & shredded Keep Reading
Give Back: A Welcome Box Party Idea
I knew I wanted to get involved in this Welcome Box idea, but I wasn't sure where to start. Like most of you, I had a decent stockpile of toothpaste, granola bars, and crayons, but I wanted to go big. I had a big tower of Welcome Boxes in mind. This was not exactly in our budget for the month. Hmmm. What to do? Well, I just did what I do anytime I am stumped. I called on my friends and family. I sent out a quick email, announcing a Welcome Box Party at my house. The general idea was this: Bring whatever you have from the list to contribute! Bring your kids! I will feed you. We will fill boxes. The kids will run wild. Everyone will have a Keep Reading
