The Food Day featured a great product called Chef Sleeves. It's a way to protect your iPad from the elements in your kitchen while cooking. It's a great invention. I cook from recipes pulled up on my iPad frequently. Just before I was set to buy, a frugal idea light bulb went off. Why not use a gallon sized zip bag? Sure enough, it fit perfectly. Now that you have a written list of items you are hunting for over the Christmas shopping season and you know how to earn gift cards with Swagbucks, it's time to start strategizing! Did you know that almost every single website out there offers a commission to other sites for bringing them a sale? It's called affiliate marketing. This is why there are random and sometimes intentional links and graphics to other sites all over the web (including on Frugal Living NW -- go here if I've piqued your curiosity). Every time you make a purchase through one of these links, the site that sent you there gets a cut of the sale. Cash back sites have come up Keep Reading

Christmas Gift Guide: Gifts for toddlers
Let me start off by being very clear: small children do not need Christmas gifts. It may be fun for the adults to buy and give them, but toddlers don't really need toys. We did have tons of toys for our oldest and as time as gone on, and more people have been added to our home, we have largely cleared out the toddler paraphernalia. Please don't be fooled into thinking that a small toddler needs "educational" toys. Talk and read to your kid and they will Keep Reading
