New Seasons Deals for August 5 - 11 (Slabtown Grand Opening Sale)

I had the pleasure of attending a pre-opening event for the new Slabtown location in NW Portland (#NSMslabtown) and I have to say that this is a beautiful location to shop.

New Seasons Market has really outdone itself in elevating the grocery shopping experience, but this is nothing new. They have always prided themselves on being a “local neighborhood store”, and they are great at conveying that feel.

This location is filled with natural light and is just gorgeous. There are many great inovative features inside and out. and the floorplan is much more spacious than I expected given the neighborhood. Also, there’s actually a decent sized parking area, complete with bike parking and a lovely common area. A “green wall” was installed on the front of the building and adds a great statement to the entrances.

This location also offers many references to the Slabtown neighborhood all throughout the store. They have done a great creative job of incorporating the theme. Overall I think this is a great addition to the other 16 locations, and am excited for the folks in NW to have another option for grocery shopping.

You all know I’m a big fan of New Seasons, and I have been for quite some time. I think they have terrific customer service, and that there are great deals to be had for those interested in shopping a bit more local and organic. Also, they have a huge bulk section and this particular store features no less than 7 grind-your-own nut butters. Yum!

The grand opening celebration for Slabtown continues this Saturday with free tastings from Olympia Provisions, Ruby Jewel, Widmer, Golazo and more. Come join the fun!
