The Master Your Budget course is set to begin on Monday and I’m so freaking excited!
I’ve created and updated the most comprehensive course on creating and living on a monthly cash flow plan that I could dream up. If you’re ready to do what it takes to FINALLY take control of your money and achieve your financial goals, this is the course for YOU.
I’m going to shoot straight with you. What I teach in this course is not a quick and easy solution to your financial problems.
There’s some moderately hard work and perseverance required, yes. But mostly, we’re talking about a lifestyle transformation. You’re going to end up viewing and handling money differently than most of your friends. People will think you’re nuts for using cash, saving up for a new car instead of getting a loan, and working so hard to get your family on track financially.
And, after a few months living on a monthly cash flow plan, you’ll have the following:
- A written budget that reflects this month’s actual expenses so you know exactly where your money is going this month.
- A growing savings account to pay for your upcoming bills and “unexpected expenses.”
- A solid plan for finally getting and staying out of debt.
- A system for spending money that removes the shame and arguments.
- Peace knowing where your family is headed financially.
Before you register, you want to be 100% certain that Master Your Budget is a good fit for you and your family, so here are some answers to specific questions you may have before you enroll:
1. What exactly is the Master Your Budget course?
The Master Your Budget course will show you exactly how to create and live on a monthly cash flow plan. It’s a plan that will guide you to creating a foundation where your hard-earned income can finally help you achieve your financial goals. It’s a plan where YOU are in control of how your money is spent.
The course is organized into four modules that will be released weekly starting May 1. Each module includes 2-4 videos that will walk you through every element involved in setting financial goals, building a monthly cash flow plan, and actually living according to that plan. There are also 4 live group coaching calls and a private Facebook group included to give you the personal help you need as you build your budget.
The end result? You’ll have a working monthly cash flow plan plus all the tools you need to actually live on that plan staring in June!
2. How is this course different than Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University?
Master Your Budget is the perfect companion to what you learn in Financial Peace University, in Dave’s books, and on his radio show. I take the one FPU lesson on the monthly cash flow plan and expand on it. I walk you through the entire process, start to finish, so you don’t have to figure it out on your own.
My family has been living on a 100% Dave Ramsey monthly cash flow plan for 11 years. We live this stuff every single month and know that it works.
I know the problems you’re going to run into as you create your family’s plan and I show you the solution before you even encounter it. The videos will hold your hand as you complete the budget creation process and then you can ask me all of your personal questions during our live coaching calls.
3. Can I participate in the course without my spouse or partner?
The awesome results that will come from this course are dependent on all the people in your home changing the way you do money and agreeing to 100% live on a monthly cash flow plan. If your partner is willing to follow the plan, but just doesn’t want anything to do with creating it, it will probably work as long as he or she is honestly committing to following it.
If your partner is going to keep doing life the same way even after you put in all the hard work to create a monthly cash flow plan, his or her actions are going to feel like sabotage. My primary motivation for creating this course is for families to experience peace. I don’t want you to spend money on something that is not going to be useful or create one more reason for there to be conflict in your home.
4. How much does the Master Your Budget cost?
This easy-to-follow, 4-week course costs $129. You get 12 videos that will walk through everything you need to create and live on a monthly cash flow plan. You also get 4 group coaching calls where I will help you figure out how to make this work with your unique financial situation.
One family reports that living on this plan helped them better control their spending. In fact, after one month they spent $200 less than they did the previous month, just by having a plan for where their money was going. They actually got their $129 investment back in just over two weeks!
5. How else do I need to know?

We are not in debt and pay our card off each month. We prefer to use our credit card rather than all cash. Will your budgeting system still work? We have done Dave’s fpu class and are trying to devise a budget.
Angela Davis says
Yes, but I will do my very best to convince you that you’re spending too much money when using a card even if you pay it off every month :).
Vivian says
Do I need to have taken the FPU course first? I’m a single woman and have never done a budget before.
Angela Davis says
Absolutely not!

Two questions: to take the course do you have to watch the videoes live or can you watch them at a later time? Also, one burning question I have as far as budgeting goes is where to start and I don’t just mean make a plan. I mean after you make the plan what is literally the first step? I’m sure it takes a while to get on even ground so I always wonder what it looks like when you try to start.

Sarah:
1. The videos are recorded and you can watch them any time. The group coaching calls are the only live events and they are recorded so you can watch them later if you can’t make it.
2. I totally cover how you get started in the course because that is probably the most difficult part of the journey. And how you go from finishing the first plan to practically living on it is different for each family, so that’s why we’re doing the coaching calls. It’s your chance for me to give you personal tips on how to make the transition. For instance, we were previously living solely on credit cards, so it was really tough to switch to cash.
And just know that the first couple months are a bit messy as you figure out how to make this work for your family (and pay off your credit cards), but after that period it’s crazy easy.
