Being in the kitchen is one of my favorite comforts. In fact, it’s my default. When life is stressful I retreat to the kitchen. When it’s time to celebrate, you guessed it, I head to the kitchen. It’s the place I relax, teach my kids and enjoy being creative.
Here is a list of my most favorite small appliances in the kitchen in the order that I adore them. These tools are a great addition to any cook’s kitchen if you have one on your Christmas list.
:: Cuisinart Food Processor — This is THE most used appliance in my kitchen. I make cookie bites for the kids after school, crust for pastries, dips, cut vegetables, grate cheese, and so much more. My kids love to help push the buttons and add items through the top chute.
:: KitchenAid Stand Mixer — The BEST! Every kitchen should have one. We received this as a gift when we got married and it’s still going strong. I use it for mixing cookies, bread, meatloaf and meatballs. I also use the grinder attachment for making my own ground chicken or turkey. I hope to have this for the next 15 years. It is worth the money.
:: KitchenAid Blender — I really wanted a Blendtec . Those blenders are unreal but at the time I couldn’t afford one. Amazon had a deal on the Kitchen Aid Blender last Christmas and I tried it out. No regrets. It blends smooth, the pitcher is all one piece and it has several different speed options. I used it daily for smoothies, shakes and more.
:: Breville Juice Extractor — My husband uses this daily. Sometimes twice a day when he doing a juice fast. He fell hook, line and sinker after watching Fat, Sick, & Nearly Dead. I haven’t quite committed to juicing. I’ll stick to my smoothies. You can find more about juicing on a budget here.
:: Rice Cooker — Out of the 5 this is the least used at once a week or so. I like being able to leave it on the counter while I do work around the house and not have to worry about the bottom burning. We have a 3 cup version which doesn’t work well if you are having company. If you entertain a lot and rice is a staple, consider buying a larger version.
Christmas is one of the best times to get deals on kitchen appliances. Amazon has kitchen appliances in stock and ready to ship! What is your favorite small kitchen appliance

Now, who will say that, “I don’t want this and that”. If you ask me, I will reply, “All are mine”. Yes! I can’t resist myself in buying all these modern kitchen appliances to enrich my kitchen space. Do you have any idea from where I can get these products in Houston?

Thanks! My mom is getting us a juicer for Christmas this year, but wanted me to do the research and figure out which one I wanted. I looked for a moderately-priced one realizing that you probably do get what you pay for, but also realizing Mom lives on a budget too. I decided on the Breville due to all the great reviews, but haven’t officially told Mom yet, so thank you for adding one more positive review for the Breville.

That definitely is a good one. I’m not a big crockpot person. I use it, maybe, once a month and usually for making my own chicken stock with leftover bones.
