Wonderful! Thank you so much! I have vision and walking issues and rely on your easy to read list of sales and alerts. The Fred Meyer website flyers are harder for me to plow through.
We have a Fred Meyer and a Costco here in close proximity and there’s a super fast walk that customers have adopted to get through them in a hurry.
Our Fred Meyer is large and very busy> Most people shop it almost on a run. Our store also has quite a few of those little cardboard kiosks set right in the aisles, leaving room for only one cart to get through. Between those and being slower I tend to get in the way. It’s really a blessing to be able to plan trips there in advance and get in and out quickly.
Helen, please contact Fred Meyer Customer Service about the problem with getting through the aisles. If you do the Kroger Feedback surveys, you can request a call back or an email response. Or, just call the 800 # for Customer Service.
You probably aren’t the only one with this problem and the more customers that contact FM, the better for all.
Yes…our FM store has the same problem. ( Burlington). We had a store remodel this past summer and they promised nice wide aisles. I got excited …only to find them junked up with many cardboard displays…which I managed to totally knock down an entire tuna in a pouch display last week.
And I cant tell you how many times I have almost tripped over the green stepstools on every aisle.
It sounds like you like to go into the store and pick out your groceries rather than use the pickup service. I do, too.
I have seen store employees walking around with other customers and helping them. (Maybe running interference, too?) I don’t know if one has to call ahead to make an appointment or just ask a red vested employee or the door greeter when you arrive.
