I have a question on the Buy5, Save $5 mega events…I know you can use printed/manufacturer’s cpns with those items …but can you use a digital coupon on those? Thanks~
Susan says
Yes, you can use a digital coupon on Buy 5, Save $5 items. But you can’t use a digital coupon AND a manufacturer’s/ printed coupon on 1 item.
If you bought 2 of the same item, you could use the paper coupon and the digital coupon would come off for the second item
Except when it is a 5x digital coupon…then you could buy up to 5 …and it would come off for each one.
Digital coupons also come off for Clearance items . HTH! 🙂

Thank you. I had a $2 e-cpn and a 75 cent e-cpn that didnt come off last shopping trip on the B5/save5. I thought maybe I was mistaken about how they could be used. I will have to get an adjustment. Many thanks~

I always print my list from the FM e coupons so that I know what is there. My printer shows the date and time on the bottom.
If something doesn’t come off, I go to customer service and show them my receipt and list. That way it shows I literally printed the list an hour ago (or so) I never have a problem getting an adjustment.
There are times when it just doesn’t come off…and they don’t know why. They see it should have.

In my limited experience of using FM e-cpns on clearance food items, their computer system does not recognize the cpn on those purchases. In fact, there may be a disclaimer on the e-cpn when you go to load it. Seems as though I saw such language yesterday on one of the ones I loaded.

The verbage on the e-coupons says “Clearance or Manager’s Specials
MAY not be eligible for digital coupons”
I guess I’ve been lucky with the e-coupons. I haven’t found any that didn’t work (yet?)

A few months back I had a $1 ecpn for European butter. I found one on clearance for $1.97. Cpn didn’t come off. I went to Customer Service and told my tale. She gave me the $1 but also told me that the digitals don’t apply to clearance. If I remember correctly, I’ve successfully used the paper store cpns that come in the mail with the quarterly FM rewards certificate on clearance products like cottage cheese.
