I don’t waste my coupons on the .25 items-as they are so cheap anyway-I got canned fruit which came out to .25 with the coupon-using the full amount & you never see fruit that cheap. also the large cans of mandarin oranges were even less-.89, so especially good!
Howard says
Great minds think alike; I used my 2 precious cpns on canned fruit and paid $.25 each.

You eat fruit! Sounds a little too healthy π
Howard says
I actually eat a “healthy” amt of fruit. Remember, you are what you eat! (I love nuts, too)
jen says
How does this work with the items that are less than the cpn? Do you get cash back or use it toward your purchase?
Ariel says
Last time the cashier manually adjusted the coupon to match the price of the item. Kinda bummed, I’d hoped for a sweet deal. Somebody versed in their coupon policy might be able to give you a more accurate answer tho π

It really depends on the store. At my Albies they give credit for the entire value of the coupon as long as I don’t end up with overage. So for the EE coupons this week my store will let me use 1 coupon on 2 items that total $.75 or more. Scoring 2 items for free.
Howard says
I’ve heard that some Albertsons allow overage on cpns, but I’d rather pay a quarter or $.50 for something and get full value out of the cpn on something else. Which is what I did today.
