I love Target in January. It’s a big clearance month and not everything is marked. The little price scanner at the end of select aisle is your friend. Send your kids to scan, they love that kind of stuff. Here’s what I found today:
Men’s slippers on sale $.99 (that was the best score)
Christmas coffee for just $1.94 per bag (thanks for the tip from Susan)
Market Pantry individual cookie bags just $.59 each
Women’s boot slippers on sale $7.48 (these were 50% off and my cold feet are thanking me right now)
Kids sock on sale $.39
Cosmetic bag on sale $.49
Total: $17.57
Target will have a large 70% off toy clearance getting rid of their extra Christmas stock the last week in January. We’ll update you when we get closer and get updates the day of as to which stores are discounting their toys first.

I had fun with Target hidden, and not so hidden, clearance. I got some Threshold cheese cutting boards for .99 (reg $9.99) – look for these on the regular shelf with the cute lettuce bowls etc., a citrus reamer for .59, some velcro straps 90% off and some washi tape for .29. I wish there was more than just one store close to me.

That is awesome! I didn’t even hit the housewares department because I was short on time. Great score.

I actually did very well finding hidden clearance deals in the past few days. I found several of the cosmetic bags (although I only grabbed a few), some toy cameras, spy gear toys and a Hello Kitty purse all for only $0.49 each (Easter basket goodies). I found several pairs of kids’ slippers for $0.79 each, but none were in my kids’ size and didn’t know anyone who could use them. Check the toy clearance aisles too…not just for regular toy clearance, but for online only items returned to store. I scored a couple January birthday presents for over 75% off.

lucky you:-) I was at 3 Target stores ( Vancouver and Portland airport) and no slippers at all, also almost all stuff ringing at full price. Still 15% on sets and no to much hidden finds for me:-(
