This is not your ordinary cookbook. 40 Simple Ways to Use 40 Pounds of Chicken is well organized and divided into sections that are helpful to a harried homemaker dividing the recipes by preparation method. The authors come up with a very well thought out plan for tackling a large quantity of perishable chicken in a logical manner offering invaluable suggestions regarding planing, the order of events, information on freezing and preparation.
The recipes are well laid out with thorough, easy to follow directions. There is a very nice variety of marinades that covers many flavor spectrums and entices me to try new ideas. There are worksheets in the back that will be very helpful for planning. We all try to keep too much information in our brains and this will keep us from those expensive, last minute jaunts to the store. Organizing our meals and creating a master shopping list will encourage us to be more frugal and perhaps select a different recipe that would allow us to shop our pantry rather than the store.
All in all, I am going to utilize this cook book and these worksheets to ensure my chicken delivery and preparation goes smoothly.

Wow. I’m amazed at how short and sweet this cook book is but packed with fast and simple recipes. Almost all ingredients are already in my cupboards so I’m not going to be spending alot on things I dont normally buy. Love how the recipes and direction are printed up, side by side, this way I dont lose my place.

This book is well organized and makes what seems a large project very easy to complete. The recipies are simple and made with ingredients that most people already have in their kitchen…I’ve already set up a “date” with a friend to make meals for our freezers.
