The Buff Original Headwear is on sale today! Several colors and patterns are around $15, with the Blue Skydiver color being only $11.02 shipped with Prime!
I have a love/hate relationship with running. Please tell me you do, too. The majority of the time we are on good terms. One thing I love about running: the simplicity. You don’t need a gym membership or lots of equipment to get a good workout. Pull on some comfortable clothes, lace up your shoes, step out the front door, and you’re good to go.
Whether you (or someone on your list) run, bike, hike, walk, hunt, camp, or… simply go three days without taking a shower and need something to cover up your greasy head, take my word for it: you need a Buff Original Headwear in your life.
I purchased this on a whim and it has been worth every penny. It is easily one of my favorite pieces of outdoor gear.
The Buff is the perfect weight and incredibly comfortable. It wicks moisture and dries quickly. In the summertime, it keeps my hair pulled back and sweat out of my eyes. It also provides protection from the sun (UV Buff Original).
In the winter, it protects my ears from the wind and keeps my head warm and dry. I think it is more comfortable and versatile than a hat. There are tons of cool patterns for either gender, and they can be worn in a variety of ways.
Amazon has dozens of different patterns (pictured: Elevations) of Buff Original Headwear in stock and ready to ship. They even have several styles specifically for hunters!
Amazon prices are comparable (and slightly cheaper for some styles) to REI.

Yes, it’s a really simple product so a price tag around $20 might seem steep! I use mine several times a week, though, and have been so happy with the quality and purchase. I wondered about making these, but I think the trick would be that it is one continuous piece of fabric (no seams). Mine has been stretched and washed repeatedly in the last year and shows no sign of wear. I think a Buff with a sewn seam wouldn’t handle the abuse as well?

I don’t think Amazon is ‘taking over’; they are merely linking up w/other companies to sell their products. One can still buy them direct from the company that sells them. There are many out there.

I do, too.
Thanks for posting this, Emily. I’ve been thinking about getting one or something similar w/ UV protection. (Geez, though – is Amazon taking over every specialty market now?)

Thanks..I have been looking for a one in all type of item. I looked at several sites for these particular kinds of headwear and purchased two last night on Amazon. there is a site called Simply Zen(also on Amazon) that has a wide variety. If you purchase two on Amazon from them, they give you a discount at checkout as well. Also, make sure to noticve if the ones you want are fullfilled by amazon as they will give you free shipping over $25. Got an email from Amazon this morning saying they have already shipped!! Woohoo!
