Last winter I wrote about how much I loved Kiwi Crate, an online company delivering monthly craft projects, to your door that spark creativity and curiosity for kids ages 3-7. Each box comes with two crafts, including all the supplies and instructions. My kids look forward to it every month.
The box they are playing with above is a box we received a few months ago. It was sponsored by Carnegie Hall and is all about music. They were making Xylophones.
This is a wonderful gift to give to preschool and early elementary-aged kids and right now you can get $10 off your first purchase at Kiwi Crate when you sign up through this link. Each box is $19.95 when you select the “Join Monthly” option and includes two crafts. The $10 credit will automatically be deducted from your total, making each box $9.95 shipped.

Do you think older kids would enjoy these?
My boys are 7 and 9, and I honestly wish these had been invented when they were littler. I can’t begin to express how bad I am at crafts.
The xylophone one looks like something my 9 year old would have been into. Any thoughts?

I was talking to a friend about her Kiwi box that arrived this month and she was showing me the amazing quality of the product and how her two boys (ages 5 and 8) love it. She has her older son read the directions for everyone to follow and he still gets excited for the box to arrive each month. They have been receiving a box since April and they are hooked. She also recommended the “Sibling Ad-on” for only $7.95 a month versus buying two separate boxes. So far the boxes have contained two complete sets of everything for her two boys.

My older kids love their Kiwi Crates. I have a 8 year old girl and 6 and 5 year old boys (they don’t let the 3 year old touch it). I think 8-10 year olds would enjoy most of the crafts. My 8 year old reads all the directions and helps her brothers complete the crafts.
