I know probably many people have asked this….but are you finding that cashiers are doubling internet printed coupons? The doubler indicates that internet printed coupons are restricted and all of these deals have links to internet prints coupons only. Has something changed? I’ve been off my coupon game for a year or so….
PJ says
The confusion with this is the cashiers follow the verbage on the doubler which doesn’t include the whole policy that says “except for applicable internet manufacturer coupons”. That’s why technically, the printed coupons should be honored but a lot of cashiers will not.
Caro says
There are two Safeway stores in my area. One will double internet printed coupons and the other will not.
Howard says
As a very general rule, I’d say most Safeways/cashiers don’t double IPs. My local store (SW Portland on Barbur) always does, so that’s where I always take them to avoid surprises. It’s been a while since I read their cpn policy, but as I recall it was very ambiguous regarding IPs and doubling. Last fall I went to a Safeway in MD that not only didn’t have the doubler in their ad, but had a sign at the register stating NO INTERNET COUPONS ACCEPTED.
Howard says
I tried the Suave $2 off deal a couple hours ago. Even though the shelf tags for these products were clearly marked $2 off 2, it didn’t work at the register. I had to convince the cashier that they were part of the $2/2 offer. I also bought Welch’s grape jam which was clearly marked $2.49 on the yellow tag, but it rang up as $3.29.
Howard says
The Oreo cpn in my Oregonian is $.75/2, not $1.
I don’t know whether the sizes match, but supposedly $ Tree has the Hefty slider bags for $1, or $.50 each WYB two after $1/2 cpn.
Linda says
Size has to be 12 ct or higher. $ Tree doesn’t carry the sizes to match the coupon.
