The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is in full swing ! I actually got to shop IN THE STORE this year. While I love love love online shopping because of the convenience, there is definitely perks to actually trying on the clothes and having an adorable salesgirl bring you new sizes and suggestions. And Nordstrom is just magical. It’s clean and well laid out and sparkly and the shoe department is like heaven on Earth. Even for a girl who doesn’t really like to shop.

I also know that I can recommend things I think are cute until I’m blue in the face, but buying things that someone else has actually held in their hand and tried on makes the purchase feel less risky. Today I will share what is in my cart for this year, including what I tried on at the store.
Lush Deep-V Neck Tee just $15.90 + FREE shipping ($24 after sale)
This is THE basic tee of the sale and Lush is my favorite favorite brand. I’m going to buy this in at least 2, probably 3 colors. Everyone needs a few classic basic tees in their wardrobe to wear with shorts, jeans, leggings. Anything. These wear very true to size and I LOVE the longer back so there is no worries about your shirt hiking up in the back when you sit down. Super comfy and soft material and a very flattering fit.
BP. Long Sleeve Tunic Tee just $17.90 + FREE shipping ($28 after sale)
This is one that doesn’t look like much online, but it is a fantastic basic piece for your wardrobe and SO comfy. I would agree with sizing down, BUT I usually wear a medium and I did like the way the medium fit. Comfy, flowy and flattering without being clingy. If you are on the low edge of the size range, I’d order down.
I have a similar BP. tunic from last year and I wear it all the time. Easy to wash and dry and has really held its’ shape. Perfect over Zella leggings with boots or wedges!
Vigoss ‘Chelsea’ Destroyed Skinny Jeans just $49.90 + FREE shipping ($68 after sale)
These were my favorite of all the distressed jeans I tried on, very comfortable with a little bit of stretch for my bigger legs. If you are leaner, I would definitely say these are true to size, but I had to go up in size to accommodate for my thighs. At first glance, I HATED the hem, but I gave it a few quick rolls and they were SO cute. Wish I had taken a picture to show you!
Socialite High Neck Dress just $34 + FREE shipping
UPDATE: Some colors/patterns are $20.40!
This isn’t even part of the sale, but I’ve posted about it before and finally got a chance to try it on! It is AMAZING. Great material, flattering and not clingy, good length even for us tall girls and it has POCKETS. Would be so cute with booties or wedges, but just as cute with sneakers. Jean jacket or leather jacket over top or great by itself. Two or three different colors, maybe two solids and a stripe and nobody would know this is the same dress accessorized a million different ways! A must have.
I tried on a medium and liked the fit, but I have bigger thighs and shoulders. The sizing chart recommends sizing down and I would tend to agree if you have a leaner build.
Hinge ‘Villa’ Perforated Bootie just $79.90 + FREE shipping ($119.95 after sale)
I have been wanting a low-heeled bootie for a long time, so I checked out every darn brand and style at the sale. This was my favorite by a LONG shot and had the bonus perk of being super comfortable.
Runs very true to size (I’m a solid 8.5 and the 9 was WAY too big). Super cute with a pair of ankle pants or distressed jeans. I’m getting the Claret Leather color, which looks brown online but is a BEAUTIFUL burgundy color (all the rage this year). I also tried on the Taupe Leather and it’s a great neutral.
I’m also grabbing a new pair of Zella leggings (my 8-year old pair finally got a tiny hole), four new pairs of Hanky Panky underwear and the Kate Spade mini glitter earrings if the Rose Glitter stays in stock long enough! Check out my full must-have items post for more information on all of these.
Shipping and returns are FREE on all items!
