Most of these deals use a Safeway double coupon, which is available at Oregon & SW Washington (Wahkiakum, Cowlitz, Clark, Skamania & Klickitat Counties) Safeways only. You can double up to 4 manufacturer’s coupons per transaction, up to 50¢ each. The double coupon is found in the weekly ad at the bottom of the middle page and look’s like this:
Safeway stores are inconsistent from store to store with their double coupon policy. The following is taken directly from Safeway’s Just4U coupon policy on their website:
Check with your local store regarding “double coupon” promotions where customers will receive double the manufacturer coupon face value off the regular or club card price up to the identified limit. Not all locations offer double coupon promotions and the terms of such promotions may differ by time and store. Limitations and restrictions for double coupon promotions may change at any time. Changes will be posted in store only. “Double coupon” promotions do not apply to any internet or digital coupons except for applicable internet printed manufacturer coupons. These explanations and restrictions on “double coupons” apply to any promotion that increases the value of a manufacturer coupon beyond its face value.

Anyone find the Quaker coupon?
Kitty's Sis says
Nope – looks like the Quaker coupon is regional and we didn’t get it in the Oregonian.
DeAnn says
There is an amazing deal on the Nature Valley granola that is part of the buy 4 get $4 off. They are $1.99 when you buy 4, use -.75 coupon and doubler and pay .75 each. Then submit for $1 with Checkout 51 and $1 with Snap. With the Snap app you can submit up to 3 from one receipt. This makes for free or really cheap granola.
Brenda says
There’s also a .75/1 rebate on Saving Star for the granola!
Sara says
Has anyone found the Quaker Oatmeal coupon? I’ve looked through that insert (Oregonian) probably 5 times and I can’t find it.
attaboygirl says
There is coupons on the Progresso website. .50/2
Melissa says
no skippy coupon for me 🙁
Howard says
Oregonian didn’t get it. (I posted that info last week when it was also on sale.) You should be able to print at least one of the digitals.
Kimi says
On the Dole pineapple – wouldn’t you have to buy 4 cans in order to use the $.50/2? Reading the coupon policy I have line 4. Coupons may not be applied against any free item received in any offer. Not trying to rain on anyone’s parade but I wasn’t sure if this rule applies?
Howard says
You probably are right, but I’ve never ever had a problem using a cents off on 2 cpn on a BOGO promo. I bought 8 cans this morning, used 4 cpns (one $.75/2, three $.50/2) and doubler and paid 11 cents TOTAL. This debate comes up every so often on this blog. I always say that if the store would just sell the stuff for half price instead of making it a BOGO, then using a cents-off-on-two cpn would be a non-issue.
Caro says
My not so special “just for U” price on the Cape Cod Chips is $2.48!
Howard says
Strange! Personalized deal? Probably has a diff expiration date than the one in the Coupon Ctr for $1.99.
Charie says
When does the pineapple deal end? Is it in the ad or just at some stores?
Howard says
Feb 24. I looked at the tag today, something I usually forget. Probably all stores, I’d think.
Katie C says
Hey Howard! I see Spam, your favorite, is on sale! You going to clear the shelf?? 😉
Howard says
Haha. May the bird of paradise drop a load of spam in your inbox. 🙂
cheryl says
Which Progresso Soups are on sale for $1? Is it Veggie Classics?
Howard says
Light or Heart Healthy. I’ll be on that like white on rice this Friday with my $.50/2 cpns.
Deborah says
Dole Pineapple 8 oz. is $1.09 and is Buy 1 Get 1 Free. Use the $.50/2 Dole manufacture/double coupons and get 2 cans for $.09.
Howard says
Good find. I’ve never had a problem using a cents-off-on-2 cpn on a BOGO deal, but it doesn’t always work, so I’ve heard. What rarely works is using two separate cents-off cpns on a BOGO offer.
Howard says
Before anyone asks: the $.50 Dole cpns are in 2-1 SS. I also have one from Feb All You magazine, $.75/2.
Shelley says
Thanks Howard!
charolyn says
Thanks & thanks from me too 🙂
Charie says
Can you tell me when the pineapple deal ends or if it is only at some stores?
Deborah says
The sale is at all the stores. I believe it ends next Tuesday.
Howard says
Correct, and thanks for the tip, D. I paid 11 cents for 8 cans today. Ah luvs mah pineapple.
Shannon says
Thanks for the tip, I went this morning and got my 8 cans for .36 cents!
