I bought 2 boxes of the Magnum Almond 3-PK bars, but my Cat didn’t print out. I can’t remember who I email for the missing Cats. Does anyone know?
Brenda says
It’s super easy to request your cat online. Make sure you have your receipt handy so you can enter information off of it.

Thanks Brenda! I’ll give it a try today. I love this site. Everyone is always so helpful. I also get my daily dose of laughs from Howard’s comments 🙂

This is soooo not good- I just tried one of these things and now will have to go and get more, and I am hiding them! Sounds like a (new) addiction to me…… And how come Howard hasn’t given the punch line to his question!!!
Howard says
Oh, those Magnums are magna cum laude when it comes to chocolate bars! When they first came out 2-3 years ago, I was getting 3-packs for $.49 to $1 on sale with cpns, usually at Albertson’s. Now I mostly do Klondikes which are a little more affordable when on sale, but not quite as good. And don’t ask me what I would do for a Klondike bar!
Brenda says
No, I do not want to know what you’d do for a Klondike bar!
Magnum bars are heavenly. I try to avoid that section of the freezer case because they have been known to just fly into my cart no matter the price. $1.50 is good for me, stocked up today!
Howard says
Oh, so Safeway’s freezer case is not as dangerous as RiteAid’s?
Brenda says
Ha!
Well it depends on what you consider dangerous. At least at Rite Aid I’m not tempted to buy out their ice cream supply!

Klamath falls safeway just told me they do not accept internet printed coupons and haven’t for 6 months. This when I tried to use the magnum bars coupons….
I did mention that I had been using them just fine for the past 6 months at this very store! I’m guessing the corporate policy isn’t that they don’t take the coupons and that this mgr was misinformed somehow? Anyone heard otherwise? Currently on hold with corporate to get clarification, will update when I get through.

Update, got dumped from the call queue after 15 mins, called back, on hold again…
Jeff says
Just got through and was told safeway corporate policy is that they do not accept internet printed coupons for any reason, he also added that they give a store manager the final say so some stores may still take them. I seriously did not know that was the policy!
Brenda says
This must vary store to store. I’ve never been told that they don’t accept them, just that they won’t double them. I use them every week at multiple locations so it really makes me wonder…did they offer you a printed or online version of this policy change?
Jeff says
No and I didn’t think to ask. I was a little flabbergasted that corp policy was no printed coupons. Wondering if there is printed material to that effect out there?
Brenda says
The only printed coupon policy I know of is on Safeway’s homepage of their website (bottom left under quick links). It clearly states they Do accept internet printed coupons. Unless this is a new policy change and they haven’t updated their website yet I think customer service and your local store are wrong. You could try and print out the coupon policy and take it in with you, just depends on how far you want to go with it. I have been told before that each store manager has the final say so they still might not accept the coupons even if you bring in the printed coupon policy. I sure wish they were more consistent between stores. Is there another location nearby that you could shop at?
PJ says
Did the deal at my Safeway at 63 and Andersen. Tried using the internet coupons for doubling after last weeks cashier told me that they double them. Different cashier told me as long as they are DND they can. Great deal- made it a $1 a box!
Howard says
If the Magnum bars are $3.50 each and I buy 2 and use two $1.25 cpns (undoubled), wouldn’t I be paying $4.50 before the $1.50 cat?
Unrelated question: if a train leaves Chicago at 4:50 pm and travels southwest at 65 mph, at what time and in what city will it pass the 3:10 from Yuma?
Brittany from Frugal Living NW says
Yes you are correct. I totally messed up the math there. And how fast is the train from Yuma going?
Lee says
Keeping with the train theme, I see the “…to to $.50 cents each…” above. 🙂
Howard says
Hint: it’s going slightly slower than the Last Train to Clarksville.
