I got the yellow ones today after searching high and low. Found them on a rounder rack in the oral care aisle. Ended up getting them for free, but no overage or catalina. The cashier adjusted the coupon down since they don’t give overage. Shouldn’t need chapstick for a long time!
Mine were marked $.99 when I grabbed them. There were 5 or 6 blue ones and no yellow in site. I wonder if they were placed in the wrong place. Hopefully I didn’t mess everyone up too bad.
do you know if the registers at safeway self adjust the coupons down or do the cashiers have to do it manually?
In my experience the cashiers have to do it.
At our local Safeway none of them were marked at .99c. Still showing $2.99 price and in the paper I didn’t find anything about it. I tried it anyways and glad that I did. Only the yellow ones ran for .99c. So I got 4 of them and after my safeway card the price dropped to .99c and catalina of $3.00 came out. I got another two since they end up being free. Awesome! Thank you, ladies as I wouldn’t have known about the deal at all ( couldsnt find any info in the paper or in the store). I ran this transaction this morning. Coupons are expiring tomorrow. 🙂
I bought 4 of the yellow ones last night. The catalina prints out right after the 4th one rings up. All 4 rang up as $2.99, after the 4th one, the catalina printed out. Then I put in my club card number and the prices dropped down to .99 each. So after coupons and catalina, it was a $3.00 money maker.
sandy, how many coupons did you use and did the cashier have to adjust the coupon down?
I work for Safeway and there are two kinds of these Nivea lip care. One is on sale for 99 cents. It’s the protection one i believe not the smoother one.
I brought 4 @ 2.99 used 2 $3.00 off 2 and a double plus a 3 dollar Catalina printed 🙂 so all 4 for $ 2.00 is a good deal to me 🙂
The Catalina deal is spend $10 get $3 Catalina for nivea. 🙂
Thank you ladies for your posts. As you know it is very frustrating to waste time, gas, etc. only to find out the deal doesn’t exist. I really appreciate having this information because I don’t live close to any of the stores & can’t afford to waste gas.
I also try to check the comments on deals because it has saved me so much time and frustration when I hear others comments. I love it when people let the rest of us know what works for them.

Yep- Obly the yellow ones I got 6 of them and no Catalina. But I got the overage which still made it worth it to me.
How did you get them to change the 2.99 price down to .99?
I didn’t do anything, since they were marked .99, that is what they rang up.
I bought 4 today and no cat. Like Janet said, it was only the yellow ones that were marked .99.
At the 5stores in our area…only the yellow ones were on sale for. 99. They are not in the ad….so could only do those and no catalina!
