Check out Frugal Homemaking for January.
Life has gotten crazy lately, but I have also grown lazy. I am buying boxes of cereal, cans of beans, loaves of bread. It’s out of control! I have no problem with these convenient shortcuts from time to time, of course, but I don’t like regularly buying things that I can make better and cheaper at home.
So this month I am going to focus on making and stocking up on some of the foods our family eats often. A little prep goes a long way, and grabbing a bag out of the freezer is just as easy as popping the lid on a can. Here are a few different foods I am going to make in big batches and freeze in smaller portions:
These are some of our favorite, basic recipes I am going to make from scratch this month:
- Homemade Larabars
- No-Bake Energy Bites
- Maple Cluster Granola
- Homemade Hummus
- No-Knead Bread
- Hard-Boiled Eggs
- Sugar Cookies for Valentine’s Day!
What are you working on around your home this month?
