Most of these deals use a Safeway double coupon, which is available at Oregon & SW Washington (Wahkiakum, Cowlitz, Clark, Skamania & Klickitat Counties) Safeways only. You can double up to 4 manufacturer’s coupons per transaction, up to $.50 each. Safeway is inconsistent from store to store about doubling internet printed coupons. The double coupon is found in the weekly ad at the bottom of the middle page and look’s like this:
Safeway stores are inconsistent from store to store with their double coupon policy. The following is taken directly from Safeway’s Just4U coupon policy on their website:
Check with your local store regarding “double coupon” promotions where customers will receive double the manufacturer coupon face value off the regular or club card price up to the identified limit. Not all locations offer double coupon promotions and the terms of such promotions may differ by time and store. Limitations and restrictions for double coupon promotions may change at any time. Changes will be posted in store only. “Double coupon” promotions do not apply to any internet or digital coupons except for applicable internet printed manufacturer coupons. These explanations and restrictions on “double coupons” apply to any promotion that increases the value of a manufacturer coupon beyond its face value.

As I expected, J4U had few (or no) new things today. The current ad runs thru Thurs, so maybe some new stuff on Friday on J4U?
michelle says

michelle says
also got 2 boxes of the arm n hammer cat litter for $2 each, after using the -$3/1 clump n seal type of their litter, on wednesday, such a good week this week, yay!
michelle says
also bought a $100 american express gift card on 11/21 and got back a $10 OYNO of =>$25 cat
Howard says
Nice way to start the Safeway week: 3 A&H Clump litters ($2.50 each after $2 cpn and doubler); 2 Suave Pro conditioners ($1.24 each on clearance, free after cpns from 11-16 RP); 8-oz Kettle Chips $.74 after sale price, $.75 cpn and doubler.
Howard says
I zoomed by the Sara Lee pies at WinCo Tuesday, and I think they were $2.87.
Howard says
Also, I got an email cpn today from Grocery Outlet. Mrs Smith’s pies for $1.99, limit 5.
Ashley says
Is $1.44 a good deal on Reynolds Foil? On sale for $2.49 with Safeway coupon then $0.55/1 in SS 11/16 making it $1.44.
Howard says
I haven’t bought foil for a while, but I think a 25-foot roll runs close to $1 these days. So if it’s $1.44 for 75 feet, that’s a very good price. I think the 35-foot heavy duty is also included for this price. I don’t think I’ve ever bought the heavy stuff, but I read somewhere the other day that you shouldn’t use the light foil.
Theresa says
Thank you Howard and Brenda for all of your helpful pointers! Every little bit helps!!!!
Howard says
Super deal on A&H cat litter this week. $5 for 9-20 lbs, includes both Clump & Seal and Super Scoop. If you can get them to print, there are $3 off Clump and $1.50 any A&H litter cpns at armandhammer.com (my computer wouldn’t allow me to print them, but if you can, there’s a limit of two prints per year per cpn). Also, in 10-5 SS, there was a $2 off Clump cpn and $1 off any A&H litter cpn. Safeway had these same litters a couple weeks ago on $5 Friday; this runs thru Thurs 11-27. You might find the 14-lb Clumps for $5, as I did last time, and get them for as little as $1.50.
Jen says
If can’t get the coupons to print, most of the boxes at my store had $1.50 coupons on them, some had been taken off by other people 🙁
With that and the doublr makes $3a box, still a great price for the best litter out there – IMHO.
Howard says
Only your cat’s opinion matters. I heard someone say the other day on TV that dogs have owners, cats have staff.
jen says
Yes, well I’ll say my master, err cat seems to like it also.
Howard says
Pet people: for $5 Friday, Safeway has 16-lb Alpo dog food and 13-lb Kit Kaboodle dry cat food. Excellent price, rarely if ever seen. Not sure if there are any cpns out there on these items. I have an ancient Kit/Kaboodle $.50 cpn that has no exp date.
Howard says
Nice quick trip this morning: 3 Idahoan tato pouches $.87, 1 celery (2 lb+) $.99, 2 Chex mix $.98 (all prices after cpns and doubler), paid $2.84 total.
Howard says
Here’s a sweet (or should I say starchy?) Safeway deal. WinCo has a dandy new coupon circular available at store entrance and/or customer service counter. There’s a mfr cpn in there for Idahoan potato pouches, $1 off on 3. The WinCo logo is on all these cpns, which expire either 12-1 and 12-31, but Safeway accepts them if they say Mfr Cpn. Safeway has the taters on sale for $.79 (with in-ad cpn or J4U download, limit 4). I bought 3 today and paid $.87 total after cpn and doubler. Without the doubler, they will be $.46 each instead of $.29.
Howard says
One more tie-in with the WinCo booklet. There’s a $.75/1 cpn in there for 8.5-oz or larger Kettle chips, exp 12-1. Safeway has these for $1.99 this week (limit 4) with in-ad cpn or J4U download. Only 74 cents with doubler for a large bag of delish chips, or $1.24 w/o.

Awesome deals on Suave products at Safeway through the end of the month!
Suave Professionals Shampoo is on sale for 1.99 through 11/30, use the $1.50/1 (11/16 RP) and doubl’r to get it free. There are also a number of products that are on clearance that should make for some good deals as well.
Additionally, there is a Buy 4, Save $4 Suave Sale going on. Kid’s products are $1.49, use the $1/1 coupon (11/16 RP) and doubl’r to get it free, and body wash is $1.99, use .50/1 coupon (11/16 RP) and doubl’r makes it .99. It looks like deodorant is included as well but I’m not sure of the shelf price for those products.
You will have to mix and match your products since the Suave coupons have a limit of 2 identical coupons per transaction.
Also, I just noticed that it appears the Suave Professionals Shampoo is included in the ad for the Buy 4, Save $4 deal but I did 2 transactions where I only bought 2 shampoos and they rang up at $1.99 so I’m not sure what’s up with that?!
Howard says
Thanks, Bren, for the Suave tips. There are two $1.50 cpns on the page, so that gives me 6 in my 3 newspapers. Check out the tips I posted above. Hope you have a dandy T’giving. I think I’ll visit Home Town Buffet in between football games, as I did in 2013. I bought $120 of their gift cards for about 50 bucks, and still have $80 or so left.
Howard says
Tried the Suave Professionals deal this morning. Some flavors were $2.99 each WYB 4; some were $2.19; and I found one conditioner on clearance for $1.24. The cashier price adjusted the cpns (I got 2) to $1.24, so no overage or doubling. The $1.24 kind was for split ends, so I will have to grow my hair down to my waist before I can use that stuff.
charolyn says
Hi guys-I have done really well at rite aid this week-clearance kids & some adult suave shampoos (50%), two kids & a cheaper & more expensive adult (1.49 & 1.99 1/2 price) & you get the $2/6 +up. 2- $1 coupons & 2 -$1.50=money maker Today I got one double suave deodorant & 2 shampoos-.50 deodorant coupons, was quite good too (that is with my 20% on the deodorant).
Also 2 of the more expensive tresseme are on clearance-with the $2 coupon & +up=small money maker also.
Brenda says
Howard,
I went to a different Safeway today and found the larger sizes that are $2.99. I ended up buying 2 Men’s Professional Shampoos at $1.99 each (wyb 4) and 2 Body Washes at $1.49 each. After the doubl’r I got all 4 for .96. Sounds like we should swap our purchases, my hair is longer than my rear and has more split ends than I care to admit!
Charolyn,
Sounds like you are the clearance Queen!
Howard says
My shampoo/conditioner stash is now bigger than my toothpaste and chocolate stashes. Time to give a bunch away…..OK, not the chocolate. I found men’s Suave anti-dandruff 2-in-one for $1.24 on clearance today, so I left the split ends stuff for the longhairs.
DeAnn says
Is anyone else having trouble with coupons.com? I’ve tried many different ways and it is not coming up.
Brenda says
Don’t know if you’re still have issues but the site opened up in both Chrome and Firefox for me. If it happens again, try another browser often that all it takes for me to get it to work.
Robin says
Internet Explorer is what I use and it work fine. Always have issues with red plum though.
Jane says
Are there any gift card promotions going on? Safeway and Albertsons usually have some this time of year.
Howard says
There’s one at Safeway but it expires tonight. $10 off on next order of $25 or more when you buy $50 in entertainment gift cards (Fandango, Domino’s, Coldstone, Darden are shown in the pic). There will be more, no doubt.
Sarah says
I just got this notice from the catalina machine: “$10 off your next shopping trip when you spend $100 or more on participating gift cards. Offer valid 11/19 – 12/09.” Oh, and the fine print at the bottom says the $10 off is valid on a purchase of $25 or more. One offer per transaction. Gift cards cannot be used to purchase gift cards.
Jane says
Thank you Howard and Sarah. You are all lovely people!
Robin says
The “participating” gift cards are the same ones, I think. Not sure as my manager there said it was on all but Safeway and Visa cards, yet the $10 Catalina didn’t print for a customer yesterday buying Amazon and iTunes cards totaling over $100. There is some confusion. Anyone else know?
Howard says
It’s in the new weekly ad that came out today for most of us. $10 off OYNO of $25+. The reason it didn’t work for the customer yesterday is because that promo starts today and runs thru12-9. One offer per transaction. The following cards are pictured: Apple/Itunes; Google; Macy’s; Lowe’s; Best Buy; Toys r Us; Amazon; and Regal. You can mix and match as long as you spend $100 total or more. Good luck, everyone! If any of these cards comes in a $10 denomination, you can send one or more to Angela for her foster children’s program.
superjaz says
Works for us. My younger brother had his eye on a new gaming computer at best buy. Or anyone planning on getting a new game system.
cindy says
Anybody know of a Safeway in Salem that doubles internet coupons?
