You’ll notice that this week’s ad doesn’t contain any +UP Reward deals, as Rite Aid is phasing out their Wellness+ program and replacing it with the Wellness+ Plenti program in May.
+UP Rewards will be replaced with Plenti points that can be used for savings at Rite Aid or other participating retailers like AT&T, Macy’s, Exxon and more.
A few key points:
- Points can be redeemed starting at 6 AM the following day (just like +UPs)
- Minimum 200 points required to redeem for $2 savings at Rite Aid
- 1000 points = at least $10 in savings at participating retailers
- Customers have option to use points and/or how many to use
- Points are good for at least two years (no more expired +UPs)
- Gold/silver/bronze status will still be earned through points (up to 20% off shelf price at Rite Aid)

The FIJI water is for 0.5 oz the coupon is for 500 ml or larger.
Math lesson du jour:
The Fiji on sale is 0.5 liters (half a liter), not 0.5 ounces.
There are 1000 ml in a liter, or 500 in a half-liter. So the cpn DOES apply and they are $.38 each.
I don’t know about the Fiji water, but some of the sale 88-cent products, such as the Yoo-Hoo, are normally $1 and therefore 80 cents if you have the 20% wellness discount.
For those still with me, a half-liter is 16.9 fluid oz. A liter is 33.8 (slightly more than a quart), a two-liter bottle is 67.6 oz, or a bit more than a half-gallon (64 oz).
By comparison, I usually buy bottle water by the case of 24 for $1.99-$2.49, or 8 to 12 cents per 16.9-oz (half-liter) bottle.
This will be on the final exam. Class dismissed!

I did double check (thank you Google!) before I suggested the deal here because I assumed the coupon was for the bigger sizes. Haven’t tasted it yet to confirm, but I’m sure this fancy pants water tastes much better than the swill you buy. HA!
The Softsoap Fresh & Glow coupon -although it has a picture of that type, has no wording for it & I used it today on a regular variety & it scanned fine=.50.
Noticed today at Safeway both crest (P&G coupons-looks like $3/3, $1.50/2) & colgate (,50 3/22 SS-expires 4/4) have .99 varieties-with coupons & doubles would be free (my store was out of most, but it runs for another week-or get a raincheck).
I have 6 bucks in leftover UPs from last week, and nothing this week appeals to me. Don’t need any eggs, milk or bottled water. May be buying a bunch of stuff from the $ aisle next week (80 cents after 20% discount). There are a few decent cookies there.
The Nice & Easy hair color deal is even better if you have the gold discount. I got one for $1.79 after both coupons.

When did RA announce that they were getting rid of +ups?? This is the first I’m hearing of it!! So will we never see +ups again then? That majorly sucks. Yet another one of my favorite stores changing policy that I will likely just stop shopping at because it will be impossible to get good deals. Wow I am so upset about this!!

Yes I did read the article posted above talking about it. I guess I was just surprised to not see anything posted about the changes before they happened. If I had known last week was going to be the last week for +ups I probably would have paid closer attention to the deals! I have a feeling this new program will ruin couponing at RA and that makes me really sad since it’s one of my favorite stores. 🙁
Since the new program doesn’t launch until May, all the info I’ve had up to this point has just been speculation. I didn’t want to share anything that might be misleading. The sooner we get to the launch of the new program, I’ll share all the info I have.
It’s been discussed in the comments to the rite aid posts the last few weeks.
We’ve been discussing it for weeks in the comments, but nobody knows for sure how things will work out. Rite Aid has changed their programs on us before and we’ve used them to our advantage so I’m not quite ready to throw in the towel yet.
Milk, eggs, or bottled water are good ways to use UpR’s if you’re not interested in any of the weekly sales (who am i kidding…go for the Chocolate, girl!!!)
I really dislike Walgreens point program so I am sure this one is going to be just as bad.
I don’t LOVE the Walgreens program, but I have accumulated over 160,000 points and used half of them, so I still have over $100 of credit coming to me. I’ve earned 27K points alone just registering my walks/golf/yardwork and weigh-ins on the Balance Rewards with Steps website.
I just updated with a new Excedrin coupon to get it for free!
Before anyone asks–I don’t believe the Oregonian got any 3-29 Excedrin cpns (we usually don’t). Cpn database shows it as a $3/2 cpn, also a $2/1 on 100-ct or larger.
The Excedrin coupons are in the Columbian!
They screwed us on the Little Debbie coupon though!
The Oregonian got a $1.05/1 coupon, while the Columbian got a measly .95/1 coupon. What’s up with those random amounts?!?!
