The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is in full swing and here is a list of all my favorite things! Remember, Nordstrom offers free shipping and free returns on absolutely everything (no minimums!). Sizes and styles are limited. If your size is out-of-stock right now, check back later tonight or tomorrow morning to see if they’ve added inventory!
WOMEN’S BOTTOMS
Zella Live In Leggings — $33.90 – $37.90 (regularly $52 – $58)
Zella Live In 2 Capris — $28.90 (regularly $48)
Zella leggings are the first purchase that many of my friends make during the Anniversary sale. I purchased a pair in the store last weekend and they really are fantastic. I would totally get the high-wasted ones, but they seem to be out-of-stock right now.
So the deal is they look like workout pants, but everyone wears them as legit leggings (NOT as pants though — you need to cover your butt with a shirt or dress. No one is interested in checking out your full on cheeks. Your privacies are private for a reason.)
Zella Keep It Up Pants — $47.50 (regularly $72)
I ordered these. I had the window open for days before pulling the trigger this morning. These are spendy, but I have cleared out all my yoga pants and I really like this newer track pant style. I wear a medium and they kept going out of stock, but by mid-morning the smalls and mediums reappeared, so keep trying throughout the day. I think Nordstrom is releasing sizes gradually.
Jag Pull-On Jeans — as low as $29.97 (plus sizes included!)
Make sure you read through my Jag Pull-On Jeans Review post.
My favorite styles so far are the Nora Skinnies and Malia Slim Legs. If you have larger hips proportionally, you’ll look great in the Peri Straight Legs. If you have anything other than fairly long legs, I suggest you get the petites or at least buy both and try them on. The petites are plenty long for the majority of us. Make sure you check if Amazon has the style you want for cheaper here.
WOMEN’S TOPS
Lush Roll Tab Sleeve Woven Shirt — $22.80 (regularly $38)
Actually, Lush everything is fantastic. These tops have great patterns and colors and cover all belly issues. I wear a tank under everything, so I don’t worry about low v-necks. I wear a small in Lush and it’s very roomy, but I have narrow shoulders.
Look at those sassy teenagers. They are drowning in these tunics. For people with meat on their bones, these tunics actually fit and they look really cute. These would be perfect with a pair of skinny jeans or your new Zella leggings. And don’t let the Juniors size scare you away. I bought a small and my mom bought an XL and we both look adorable.
Okay, Pleione may be my new favorite line of tops. I love their fabrics and patterns and the price isn’t so bad. I tried on the Split-Neck Tops in the store and it looked funky on my narrow shoulders, but I was with two people with broader shoulders who looked like super models in them. Here are a couple of my favs:
WOMEN’S SHOES
Posting about shoes is a stretch for me because I am just not confident in my footwear choices. I have no idea what to do with sandals and boots and don’t even get me started with the wedge stuff. I’m useless.
If you’re in the same boat, here are some absolutely safe choices. You can’t go wrong if you buy any of these — as long as you wear no-show socks, you’re good. (Seriously, no hint of your sport sock, please.)
Nike ‘Internationalist’ Sneaker — $62.50 (regularly $85)
Man, these Nike’s are sweet and I love that there are four colors available in the sale. I think you can wear these with skinny pants, but I’m not sure. What do you think?
Lucky Brand ‘Betwixt’ Bootie — $79.90 (regularly $128.95)
Here’s what I love about these booties — they are not blingy so even those of us with shoe difficulties can make them work with an outfit. I think we just have to roll the pants a bit and we’re good, right? Pinterest told me this would work, so… PLUS you can wear any short sock you want so they are perfect for cold weather.
Vans Suede Slip-On Sneaker — $32.90 (regularly $49.95)While I may not be able to figure out strappy sandals and these cut-off boot things, I DOMINATE slip-ons. And these Vans are simple and sweet looking. I wear my slip-ons with skinnies, boot legs, shorts, and sporty skirts and I look fly. I hope.
Vince ‘Newlyn’ High Top Sneaker — $234.90 (regularly $350)
Oh holy night, these sneakers are awesome. I told you that I rock the hurricane with slip-ons, right? I can only imagine how awesome these high tops would look with rolled skinny or boyfriend jeans. I have no idea what these shoes do to justify the price, but I would sure like to find out. If you see my husband wandering the aisles of Home Depot or trolling for free food in Costco, tell him this is what I want for Christmas and every other spending holiday on the calendar (size 7.5).
