We’ve been talking more and more about fashion here at Frugal Living NW. I absolutely LOVE sharing what I’ve learned about how to save money on higher quality clothing that makes you feel confident and look fantastic.
This topic is so much fun for me to talk about because I’ve learned SO MUCH over the past year about how to dress well for my body type, all on a budget.
So, you may be wondering what happened to get me started on my wardrobe editing journey? One-hundred percent it was the Adore Your Wardrobe eCourse.
This online video + community course taught by Kelly of RedefinedMom.com showed me that fashion is all about science. Following a formula.
Isn’t that fantastic? This means that ANYONE CAN DO IT. You don’t need to be a “fashionista” or independently wealthy or have a fashionable bone in your body to be able to dress yourself in the morning.
It’s all about figuring out what styles, cuts, and colors of clothing create balance and proportion for your body type. (Short-waisted pear over here!) Once you learn the rules of dressing for your body, you have everything you need to feel confident and put together every single day.
And when I talk about “body type,” I’m not talking tall or short, big or small, tubby or bony. Size has nothing to do with it. Isn’t that freaking refreshing?
You can absolutely look amazing regardless of your weight or exercise goals.
Adore Your Wardrobe outlines exactly what type of clothing I should be wearing — the perfect jean style, rinse, and rise, the ideal shirt shape, and what accessories to wear so I feel “put-together.”
Obviously, there’s a lot of choices I get to make (pattern, color, etc.) but I no longer have to wonder if a new style trend will look good on me. I just look at the cut of the clothing item and then look at my style profile. If it falls within the boundaries for my body type, I’m good. If it doesn’t, it’s an easy pass.
The Adore Your Wardrobe course is packed with content that will appeal to any woman interested in looking her best, feeling confident, and ultimately saving money as she will forever be finished with buying clothes that just aren’t right for her body.
