If your Facebook feed is anything like mine, you’ve been reading all about the wonders of the electric pressure cooker (or the Instant Pot).
And if you’re like me, you bought one when Amazon or Walmart dropped the price over the holidays. And then you waited for the promised life transformation that the Instant Pot would bring.
Then you realized that you needed to take it out of the box and actually start using it in order to appreciate it’s wonders.
And that’s when everything came to a screeching halt because YOU DON’T KNOW HOW TO USE IT.
Yeah, me neither.
I have used it to cook large amounts of chicken breast, but that’s about it. I know that the Instant Pot can do so much more for my life, but I need some instruction.
And I found the perfect solution to all of our problems!
Erin from $5 Dinners is about to launch the Electric Pressure Cooker 101 course and it’s crazy affordable — only $12 if you pre-order the course before January 24, 2017.
This course will teach you:
- All about your electric pressure cooker, including the different parts, how to clean it, and what the settings mean
- How to pressure cook “groups” of food, like grains, beans, potatoes, roasts, freezer meals, soups, chilis, and vegetables
- The first 10 meals you should make with your Instant Pot
- A meal plan for 2 weeks and matching shopping lists
Can you get all of this info for free from the internet? Absolutely.
How long will it take you to research and compile the info? A really long time. (For me it would take infinity because I will never complete the task.)
I’m thrilled to pay $12 to have someone else figure out how to use this blasted $60 appliance (or up to $130 depending on the size) for me and hold my hand while I actually cook food in it. Plus, Erin is amazing at video and she has a bunch of video tutorials included in the course.
So, for less than the cost of a hardback cookbook, you will learn everything you need to know to rock your Instant Pot starting January 24.
And, the price of the course will increase on January 24, so make sure you purchase your Electric Pressure Cooker 101 course NOW.

Is this class still going on?

Hi Angela, I tried to send you an e-mail, but it came back undeliverable. Are you still offering the class Electric Pressure Cooking 101 for $12? Is this a self-paced class? How do you access it; through Facebook or links you might send through e-mail? I got my Instant Pot 7-in-1 DUO 6qt. about 2 weeks after Christmas. I’m anxious to get acquainted with the IP and start cooking. Please alert me when similar classes for the same price of $12 will be available in the future.

I have a different pressure cooker, that I dont know how to use. It looks similar. Will this course help me?
Angela Davis says
Absolutely, Victoria!

I purchased my Insta Pot right around Thanksgiving and have loved making mashed potatoes, rice and a couple other things, but would love to learn how to do more. I am not very good at computer/tech things and not sure how this “course” works. I am also a slow learner and wonder if I would be able to return to it or is it a one-time thing? Basically I am a little uncertain how it all works, but it sounds like a wonderful help.

Monica: Great questions! All the content is available online. There will be videos and worksheets. All the content is recorded so you can watch it when you have the time and you can rewatch anything.
The information is located inside a web program and it’s super easy to access. When you purchase the course, you’ll get login info (save the email so you can see the info in the future). After you’ve logged in, you’ll see all the course stuff. You click on the lessons you want to read or watch and you’re good to go! It’s super easy. Promise :).

This sounds great but do I have to attend the online classes at a designated time? If so, can you provide a schedule? I am very interested in signing up but can’t commit to a schedule. I would like to view the videos online with a registration.
Thanks!

Pauline: Great question! The lessons and videos will be released starting January 24 and you can watch them in the course program area anytime. They are not live. You will have access to all the info (worksheets, videos, etc.) for as long as the course is available which I imagine will be a very long time.
