Amourri Underwire Ruffled One Piece Swimsuit — ships FREE with Prime + FREE returns
Sizes 2-10. Runs on the bigger side of true-to-size but definitely size down if you’re smaller chested. If you’re busty, you’re going to show some cleavage and you may want to go up one size. Comes in five colors.
Amazing molded, padded cups with underwire (so much padding). Fantastic fit in the belly. The back of the suit is sufficiently high to keep the straps on your shoulders. The leg cut is high enough to draw attention away from your hips if you’re pear-shaped, but not so high that you need to get everything waxed.
I’m not sure if it would be the best swimming-swimming suit but it is perfect for looking good in a lounge chair!
Mirrous Black Mesh Ruched One Piece Swimsuit — ships FREE with Prime + FREE returns
Sizes M-XL. Sizing is wonky — Size 4 is a M so go with your numeric size. Black only.
I love this suit. It’s a full coverage suit without looking matronly. Good cups and the entire suit is really secure (no underwire, though). The back goes up HIGH, like it would cover your bra line. Perfect for swimming and for those of you who don’t like your back fat. Looks like a tankini, but it’s really a one piece.
Ekouaer Vintage One Piece Swimsuit — up to $22.99 shipped with Prime + FREE returns
Sizes XS-XXL. Runs true-to-size. Comes in tons of colors and patterns.
This suit is super cute on, but it doesn’t have the greatest support in the bust. If you’re smaller chested or very well endowed, this one may not be good. It’s probably best for an average bust. The midsection gathering is fantastic.
Beach Queen Mesh High Neck One Piece Swimsuit — ships FREE with Prime + FREE returns
Sizes S-XXL. Runs true-to-size. Comes in four colors. The model in the picture is a waif and the suit looks too big on her (because it is).
This is an interesting suit. I ordered both the black and the wine (I was on a buying spree and didn’t realize what I was doing). It’s really flattering, but the high neckline was a tad too high on one of the suits. It rested on my collar bone and felt weird, but I’ve been told that I have an absurdly prominent collar bone so maybe it won’t bother you.
The cups have padding and underwire and fits an average bust (it was too roomy for me). I’m not sure how well the mesh portion at the top will hold up in the water so I might not buy this if you’re planning on doing laps.
Ekouaer Vintage One Piece Swimsuit — ships FREE with Prime + FREE returns
Sizes S-XXXL. Runs kind of true-to-size. Size down if you’re on the lower end and/or have a smaller bust. Comes in a handful of patterns and black.
The cups on this suit are super molded yet they offer little support (weird, right?). If you have an average sized bust, you’ll show cleavage as the models clearly demonstrate.
I found the cups to be weird, though that may be a “filling” issue instead of a design flaw. The halter neck is really cute, but again, I’m looking at the pic of me in the suit and it makes my top half look really small and out of proportion with the rest of my body. If you have more up top it may look balanced on you. And, how do I say this… if you need help from man-made materials to keep your girls in place, this isn’t the suit for you.
American Trends Athletic Boyshort Swimwear — ships FREE with Prime + FREE returns
Sizes 0-20. Runs true-to-size. Comes in black, navy, and red.
I had high hopes for this suit as I like swim shorties, but this one didn’t work out for me. The cups are nicely padded and roomy (which means too big for me). It will work for average to bigger busts. I looked really unbalanced in this suit (my top is smaller than my lower half). If you have a larger chest it should look balanced on you.
Here’s the main problem — it made my butt look BIG. There’s no detail AT ALL on the back, so it just makes everything in back look like your bottom. And I kind of felt like a man in a suit from the 1920’s. Know what I mean?
Zando One Piece Tummy Control Swimsuit — ships FREE with Prime + FREE returns
Sizes 4-20. The cups on this suit are removable and will work for larger busts (it was too big for me). The top is really nice but if you have a belly, you’ll hate it. It may look like a maternity suit if your belly pushes the ruching part out. If you love the suit but have a little pudge, I would get the solid black.
Coastal Blue Swimsuits
Amazon has released their own line of swimsuits, Coastal Blue. These are not independent sellers from China hawking suits, so you’ll find more consistent sizing. And a way higher price. They come in a range of sizes, including plus.
I gave a couple of suits a shot to see if paying more gave me a better suit.
Coastal Blue Women’s Control Cutout-Neck Swimsuit — ships FREE with Prime + FREE returns
Sizes 0-18. Runs fairly true-to-size, but you may want to size up. Comes in black.
Oh my, this suit is tight. Like crazy control. I had to work to get it on, but once I got it in place I knew I got the right size. The cups are lightly padded. I cannot see this suit working if you have a bigger bust. The cutouts on the top are really interesting. This is a flattering suit if you have a flatter stomach because it doesn’t hide much of anything.
Coastal Blue Women’s Control Drawstring Swim Dress — ships FREE with Prime + FREE returns
Sizes 0-18. I was able to struggle into my regular size, but I think you should size up. I ordered a 4/6 and a 8/10 would have worked.
As with the other Coastal Blue suit, this thing is TIGHT. It was really hard to get on but man did it look good once I got it into place. It’s super weird, but that top was tighter than the bottom so this suit will not work if you have any sort of a chest.
The little skirt is really cute and the briefs underneath offer full coverage. This is a great suit for small-busted, pear-shaped women who wants a suit for building sandcastles and riding water slides. I kind of didn’t want to take it off except that it’s 68 degrees in my house.

Twin Mom says
I wanted to thank you for last year’s post. I am a mother of four and wound up wearing the suit I bought with my middle-aged male engineering colleagues in a Muslim country surrounded by women wearing burkas. It did the trick of keeping me covered during a variety of ocean/water activities.
