Albertsons has been having their huge Anniversary Sale for the last two weeks. We are on the home stretch with sales ending tomorrow (8/12). Here is one way I took advantage of this amazing sale.
**Note: No clearing of shelves occurred during the two weeks of stocking up on granola bars.
With three boys and daily lunch makings plus a daily snack needed for school, granola bars are top on our family’s list of go to lunch packing items. After a few calculations, I realized that the Quaker Granola Bars boxes were $.60 cheaper per box at Albertsons than Costco.
To supply the boys for the school year, I would need 68 (8 ct) boxes from Albertsons or 9 (60 ct) boxes from Costco. By purchasing the granola bars at Albertsons, I saved $40.59 for the year.
P.S. The Muller Corner Yogurt (5.3 oz) is a Quaker product. Check out how to get it for FREE!
Quaker Chewy Granola Bars (8 ct) on sale $1.49
Muller Corner Yogurt (5.3 oz) on sale $.50
Use $1/2 peelies on granola bars
FREE yogurt and $.99 for bars

I love that you’re stocking up for the year! Isn’t it great to not have to think about going out and getting deals on granola bars for a whole year? Wishing I had more storage space to be able to do this with more items. For some reason my husband didn’t appreciate my “creative solution” to storing stockpile cereal under the living room sofa. I was finally cured after my children proudly showed every house guest how they only had to reach under the living room sofa to get some extra cereal. Great conversation starter 🙂

I did an inner “Hoorah” when I saw the note about no shelf-clearing occurred. I despise the shelf-clearers!!! Way to go!

Free Nature Valley granola bars at Safeway today and tomorrow. See related article on this website. I got 4 today for $1.96 and rec’d a $2 Safeway cat. Others have done the same. You also can get 5 boxes for $.45 net, assuming you have enough cpns and a doubler.

What stores have peelies? I didn’t see any at Milwaukie…

I found them at the Albertsons in Gresham (181st and Glisan) and in Milwaukie (on Theissen Road).
